Annual Festivals In DC/Maryland/Virgnia:

One of the bonuses of living in a tri-state area has to be the amazing arts and cultural festivals that take place throughout the year. With that said, we decided to pull together a list of annual festivals that take place in the DC/Maryland/Virginia metropolitan area. There is one catch to this list though, all of the festivals have a heavy music component to them or they are a music festival.

Enjoy the list, and be sure to attend and enjoy as many festivals as possible. These festivals are not only entertaining, but they help support many local businesses.

It’s that time of year again! Music festival season is here and it is time to mark your calendars, get your tickets, and clean the lens on your cell phone camera, fans.

Being a concert photographer, this is my favorite time of year. It’s my chance to photograph your favorite artist and bands, review shows, and conduct interviews without having to travel to a great number of venues.

Photographers Note: This is one of my favorite Penn Relays photos of all-time. Mainly because of Joe putting his fingers in the air letting people know how many times he has won this race.
